West Texas Family Medicine let patients know via Facebook on Monday that one of its clinical staff members tested positive for COVID-19.
As a result of the confirmed case, the clinic locations will close to test employees and to deep clean while telemedicine services remain available.
People who visited the clinic are at low risk of having the virus as precautions have been in place to prevent that type of spread to the public. The clinic noted that employees have been wearing masks and are separated from front desk visitors by barriers. Visitors have also consistently been fever screened and provided with masks.
WTFM has four locations – two in Plainview, one in Hale Center and one in Floydada. The clinics in Plainview and Hale Center closed and are expected to remain closed Tuesday.
