Wagner & Prigg Family Medicine recently announced its new practice name, Pointe Primary Care.

The name change comes following the retirement of Dr. Charles Wagner and the growth of the practice, which now also includes nurse practitioners.

Serving the community since 2014, Pointe Primary Care will remain in the same location with a great team of doctors and nurse practitioners led by Dr. Brian Prigg and Dr. Rebecca Hurd specializing in primary care. The patient-centered practice focuses on family medicine.

During the pandemic, Pointe Primary Care has adapted the use of technology to improve patients’ health. Patients can now take advantage of telehealth by logging on to the company’s website during their appointment times and entering a virtual exam room right from a computer or smartphone.

Brigg completed his training at the University Of Nebraska College of Medicine. He is dedicated to his patients and strongly encourages preventive medicine including regular physicals, routine screenings, healthy eating, regular exercise and avoiding smoking.

Hurd is a Delaware native who has been practicing in Sussex County for many years. She is a graduate of Jefferson Medical School and is board certified in internal medicine.

Located in Red Mill Center at 16529 Coastal Highway, Lewes, Pointe Primary Care is accepting new patients. To schedule an appointment, go to lewesdoctor.com or call 302-684-2000.
