Topic: MedPage Today speaks with Brian Williams, MD, a trauma surgeon at the University of Chicago, public speaker and host of the “Race, Violence, & Medicine” podcast. Williams’ life changed after treating several of the police officers who were shot by a Black sniper in Dallas on July 7, 2016. He condemned the violence that occurred that night. His life’s work since then has been to encourage meaningful dialogue about race in America and to prevent violence.
