MERCER COUNTY (WVVA) — A doctor at Princeton Health Care Center has been hospitalized after testing positive for COVID-19.
Dr. Charley Mirable, Medical Director at PHCC, is being treated for coronavirus at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
Administration at PHCC say Dr. Mirable has provided care to the residents there ‘for many years.’
His wife, Cathy Mirable, has also tested positive for COVID-19. She tells WVVA she is now recovering at home after being released from a local hospital.
According to updates posted by his wife, Dr. Mirable is on a ventilator and is being treated with convalescent plasma and remdisivir.
WVVA will continue to monitor Dr. Mirable’s progress as he fights COVID-19.
