DENVER (KRDO) — A non-profit organization, part of the University of Colorado – Anschutz Medical Campus, is providing mental health care for veterans and military families throughout Colorado, and is raising awareness ahead of the Veterans Day Holiday on Wednesday.
The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus provides confidential, compassionate and personalized mental health care to post-9/11 veterans and their family members.
Most notably, their tele-health capabilities have allowed the non-profit to reach veterans even in the most remote areas of the state since the inception of the clinic in 2018. They write, “Although COVID-19 has forced us to adjust some of our processes, our care for Veterans never ceased, because we had a strong tele-health foundation already established.”
Their services are available regardless of discharge status, role while in uniform, or combat experience. While the clinic is located in Greenwood Village, care is available almost anywhere in Colorado.
