As a local health-care professional, I was dismayed this evening to see multiple groups of people clustered close together without masks, including groups of children participating in close sports practice.
While the rates of spread of COVID-19 remain low in Franklin County, we cannot afford to be complacent when it comes to appropriate safety precautions, and it is exactly these types of activities that lead to further spread of the virus.
I work every day to help keep Franklin County residents safe and healthy, and I hope that my neighbors will join me in doing the same.
