The new Rushville Fitness and Community Center is in its last phase of construction.
Fitness and Community Center President Tim Ward said they plan to finish the indoor pool deck by Friday and enclose the south end of the building.
Ward said they’ve been working on the six million dollar project, thanks to an anonymous donor, for five years now and he’s excited to see it all come together.
“It’s going to bring so much to the Rushville community,” Ward said. “We’re going to have opportunities that larger communities have, with an additional gymnasium, an indoor pool, 24/7 hour fitness center and a community and exercise room. It brings a tremendous amount to Rushville.”
Ward said right now, the plan is to hold a soft opening in mid to late August.
